the camera paints a mysterious picture

       Noting.
Show up. Witness Early rising magic.
The crispness of frost on grasses leads
to the lushness of steam rising and rushing along the surface.
Mix in just a little light....and sit still.

paintings happen

without photoshop layering

the way it was just twelve hours ago

love the looking back

reflecting on the reflections

the sounds

the suggestions

and remembering soft shadings of greens through the veiling

  2. beautiful work. witnessing.

my morning was similar. the moisture in the field birds of light and deep voices then a blue misty white over water still with a gooseflesh surface. everything awake.

  5. Dear Neva, your photographs here are breathtaking...
    each one as if
I was transcended to the lake side.
    Your words
"mix in just a little light
    and sit still."
And your "love the looking back"
for me the most captivating of all.
and the way you ended here with blue.

    1. thanks, roxanne....i'm pleased with this group, and we agree on 'looking back'...now the plan is to make the digital negatives, and then...prints in the darkroom. haven't done that in a long time, and ready to leave the inkjet printer alone for awhile!
i'm sure your NY jaunt w/the seth group was invigorating for you and your work. x0
