falling in love with color

i've fallen in love with rising early on 19 degree mornings
to capture light
and color

like a friend said: a new camera
is like corrected lenses on old glasses.
suddenly seeing more clearly.

perhaps.
but
being in
good company helps.

when trees talk...

 WHEN TREES TALK, LISTEN,

ESPECIALLY DURING THE SILENCE OF WINTER

WHEN
 BARE BONES
  REVEAL

THEIR SOULS

& YOURS

WINTER BLUES, and painting too

the new year called me
out into the blue crystal
light and shadow play

brought me in to finish
the tiny winter twilight
painting begun so

long ago

(pretend you're squinting your eyes at the painting,
it just won't come into focus with my camera...it's spirit
is protecting itself, i guess, and i think it looks better
this way .. hmmmm, and grin)

AND PLEASE CHECK OUT MY FASHIONISTA WINTER GARB IN THE LAST POST. so many comments about my HOOD!

THE SPLENDOR IN THE ... snow

RECAPTURING:
former fashion statement.
it all comes back to functional
form, very contemporary in that way.
the splendor in the snow/ minus warren beatty,
(but my husband is better! cute, plus he went back on the
trail to rescue my new down mitten!)
six decades later, inspiring myself
to leave the window view
with all my brand new winter wear...
surprisingly fabulous
out there (at 15`F)
when warm!
