INQUIRING minds wanted to know:
the image of the lip rock and pods in the last post was scanned on my printer, and using a friend's mac, layered with a photograph i'd taken of buddha...creating the first collage.
the second image is a layered "multiple exposure" of the flowers in the last image and was made with my picasa program. limited possibilities with that.
the mac, as many of you know, with photoshop, is very exciting to me.
it's now on THE LIST!!!
fun to play with equipment. my interest in doing it though is limited. I prefer direct. have fun.
ReplyDeleteoh yeah, I want photoshop next!! : D
ReplyDeleteOne perk of being a adjunct professor, is the educational discounts on software... I JUST got the Adobe Creative Suite... photoshop, indesign, illustrator +... on my macbook pro laptop. Now if I can get past beginner on all of them... and past go on some... I'll be doing well!
ReplyDeleteI do love my mac and endless possibilities with photoshop... good luck!
The sky's the limit with a mac, photoshop and your creativity ... have fun exploring!
ReplyDeleteI like your play! Always good to have a bold list especially in and around holidays and birthdays! As an artist for so many years I am intrigued and confounded over the photoshop's possibilities!
ReplyDeletei have Photoshop but not a Mac. I think that it seems to work really fine just on my PC. The possibilities are in the Photoshop, not the computer, don't you think? I took a computer art class in college while do my degree and we learned all sorts of stuff in there. You can really do so much. Purchase it soon, for yourself. Treat yourself to a gift.
ReplyDeleteyou explained it very well ..I was sure wondering..i am not very technical tho'
ReplyDeletewe love our mac .... I'm hoping to get an iPad for my birthday :)
ReplyDeleteI also am going to learn more about my Photoshop Elements as I am soon going to take an online digital image workshop--you and I both will soon be doing all sorts of digital image stuff.

ReplyDeleteVery cool to see what went into your image. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI think I'm heading in that direction though I'm dragging my feet.Once I get into photoshop I will never sleep. Thanks for the Doris Mitsch link. Exquisite work!
ReplyDeleteThe second piece looks like a flower mandala. Because you took the colors from photographs, the intensity of color is both dazzling and believable.
